What we are all about
tweetmart was started by Will Kern and Bill Kocik in January 2009. It evolved out of a previous project that Will and Bill (it still sounds funny to write that) had created. We both are avid users of Twitter® and felt there needed to be a drop dead simple way to integrate a classifieds site with Twitter®. Alas, we give you tweetmart. That is all I have to say about that :-).
So what is tweetmart?
Think of tweetmart as classifieds for Twitter®. It is a free an easy way to buy and sell "stuff" or search and post jobs on Twitter®.
How does tweetmart work?
Have something to sell? Login, click on "List an Item" and in a minute or two you are finished. Your item will remain active for 14 days. We will send a tweet out to all your friends letting them know you have listed something and at any time you can re-tweet the item (to your heart's content we might add). If one of your friends likes what you are selling, they can send you a direct message letting you know they are interested. Even better, for those that are not on Twitter® but like what you have to offer, they will be able to send you an e-mail letting you know they are interested.
Want to post a job? Login, click on "Post a Job" and in a minute or two you are finished. Your job will remain active for 30 days. We will send a tweet out to all your friends letting them know you have posted a job and at any time you can re-tweet the job posting (to your heart's content we might add). If one of your friends likes a job you have posted, they can send you a direct message letting you know they are interested. Even better, for those that are not on Twitter® but like your job posting, they will be able to send you an e-mail letting you know they are interested.
